December 1: Club members give reports to Club Reading Chairman.
January 1: Club Reading Chairman sends report to District Reading Chairman.
February 1: District Reading Chairman sends the District report to the
GFWC/Iowa Adventures in Reading Chairman.
AIMS:
To stimulate a greater personal interest in reading as an everyday activity and as a shared activity with children and the elderly.
To enrich our lives with a variety of reading interests.
To develop well-informed responsibility for socio-economic progress.
To inspire pride in the heritage of our club and state and knowledgeable patriotism to our nation and its future.
To grow in discernment of literature.
PROJECTS:
• Reading credit given for magazines and daily newspapers read for one year.
• Reading to children – five (5) “Golden” type books equal one (1) adult book.
• 100% clubs – each member must read 5 items, 2 of which must be books.
