Last month Spring arrived and has given us some perfect weather to be out in the yard.  Time to get all the planting and pruning done before warmer weather hits - and we know it will!

May 1st and 2nd we attended the GFWC/Iowa State convention in Ankeny, Iowa.  I would like to personally thank the Ankeny Woman's Club for all their hard work.  They put together some incredible goodie bags and were the perfect hostesses.

If you missed the convention you also missed out on some great speakers and presentations.  Carlene Garner, President-elect GFWC, gave us valuable information both days of the convention.  The musical entertainment was superb and the Membership and Domestic Violence presentations memorable.  I managed to learn a few more names and faces this year and I appreciate your friendship.  I had fun this year and look forward to the next state convention with  a newer perspective.
