Iowa was the first state organization to join the General Federation of Women's Clubs.  GFWC/Iowa is proud to be a member of the largest and oldest volunteer organization in the world.  Although there is a great diversity in ages, interests, areas of expertise and experience of GFWC/Iowa members, all are united by a dedication to implement charitable, educational, and service programs in the State.

 

GFWC/Iowa Points with pride to:

• Participating in the establishment of Iowa's libraries and the State Library Commission.
• Awarding thousands of dollars each year in scholarships to Iowa students.
• Being a Sponsor of Iowa's Talented and Gifted "Future Problem Solving Bowl" and Iowa History day.
